The BBC World Service released its latest documentary, 'Perfume's Dark Secret', which exposed the "worst form of child labour". Children as young as five are seen picking jasmine in Egypt for leading beauty brands.

Despite zero-tolerance child labour policies, Estée Lauder and L'Oréal have been named among those who engage in the jasmine trade.

Egypt supplies about half of the global supply of jasmine, which is among the most valuable perfume ingredients.
