During the Western-Han Dynasty, there was a teenager named Kuang Heng, who was extremely diligent to learn.

His family is poverty, so he had to work hard during the day to make ends meet.

Only at night, he could focus on study.

However, he couln't afford candles, once it got dark, he could not study anymore.

His neighbor was rich. Every night rooms were brightly lit with candles.

One day, Kuang Heng asked his neighbor:"I want to study at night, but I can't afford candles, Could I borrow a little space in your house please?"

The neighbor looked down on his poverty and ridiculed him:"Since you are so poor, what's the point of studying?"

Kuang Heng was very angry, which only strengthened his determination to study hard.

When he returned home, he drilled a small hole in the wall, the candlelight from the neighbor's shone through the hole.

He used this faint light to read eagerly.

With such perseverance, Kuang Heng read various books, eventually becoming a scholar and even serving as a prime minister.
